New nursing home is up for sale
Seacrest Nursing Home, one of the nation’s oldest nursing homes, is being sold, with plans to build a $5 million luxury nursing home in Los Angeles.
Seacrest will be the fifth nursing home to be sold in Los Vegas since the start of the recession, and the first of its kind in California.
The property, located at 1370 W. Santa Monica Boulevard, will feature a spa, a restaurant, two guestrooms and a conference room.
Seabury will be selling the property through its Real Estate Sales office, which has about 1,300 properties in Las Vegas and Orange County.
The company said it has already received interest from potential buyers.
The sale will be handled by the Santa Monica City Council, which oversees the development and management of the Seacres property.
The city has already approved plans for a $8.9 million mixed-use development near the property’s entrance.
The Santa Monica Business Journal reported last year that the city is working on a plan to develop the property into apartments, office space and retail.
The proposed development would include a parking lot.
